Another mass grave has been partially excavated after being discovered in January 2019. At least 8 mass graves have been found in Syria in areas liberated from ISIS. They join the dozens found in Iraq, including at least 30 that contained Yazidi victims of the ISIS-run genocide.
“Several dozen mounds of dirt line one side of the Al-Fukheikha plot, marking the more than 120 bodies already dug up by the Rapid Response Division of Raqqa’s civil defense service,” notes Arab News.
The mass grave contains individual graves, and then an area estimated to contain up to 3,000 in the mass grave area that include those executed by ISIS.
