Iraq expressed displeasure at Turkish airstrikes on Friday in a letter to the Turkish envoy. According to a report the Ministry of Foreign Affairs wrote: “The ministry denounces what the Turkish planes have done in violating Iraqi airspace and targeting the areas of mount Sinjar and Makhmour north…that led to the loss of lives and property,” read an MoFA statement.
Reports emerged on Friday that four people were killed in the airstrikes. The airstrikes were the third major Turkish airstrikes against what it said were PKK in Iraq in the last years.
